I found it at our old house on Quincy Street. I wanted to remember things. I don’t know. I just wanted to be there. It made me feel closer to you. It was looted. The entire block was. Upstairs in your bedroom, what used to be your bedroom, I found what was left of your old jewelry box. And there was this matchbox inside. I shook it and found this. I figured it had to be important, or you wouldn’t have kept it.

They’re so captivated by each other, so amazed that they’re finally here - after all this time. It’s like they can’t believe that the other actually wants this as badly as they do; there’s a certain shyness to this moment that is so believably beautiful. They know that there’s no going back now, but they also know that they’re finally ready to start that next chapter.
